Hannah Barham

Hannah is a young lady with immense musical talent and a wide experience of varying
styles of music. Throughout her time at Durham University, Hannah was a Choral Scholar at University College and sang
with most of the other collegiate choirs. As well as being vocalist for the University College Big Band she also founded
a female four-voice Barbershop group, which performed at a number of high profile events. Hannah has experience of working
with the Royal School of Church Music, assisting in the leadership of residential courses for young vocalists.

Hannah,
was also recently awarded a BSc in Nursing. In June 2009 she was appointed Director of Music of St Mary's Church, Ponteland;
this has involved her in running singing workshops for pupils in local schools.

Margaret Spence
Margaret was born in Alnwick and studied with Dr Arthur Milner, who wrote in
the Newcastle Journal under the pseudonym 'Diapason'.
She gained her performer's A.R.C.M. whilst still
at school and went on to read music at Edinburgh University. She has had a varied career in performing, examining and
teaching and enjoys a wide range of ensemble and organ playing. She was assistant director of music at Merchiston Castle
School, Edinburgh.
Margaret is married, with three children.
