Welcome The Bailiffgate Singers was formed in 2005 by members of a previous choir who
wished to continue singing together. We are a mixed choir of some thirty adults singing four-part music with a wide repertoire
covering both sacred and secular works, ranging from classical, folk and gospel to more contemporary pieces. Lengthy
or especially taxing works are avoided.
We sing for the sheer pleasure of making music, whilst seeking to achieve
high standards. As a choir, we perform several concerts each year, which raise funds not only for the choir but for
local organisations as well.
Under the leadership of our delightful new Musical Director, Hannah Barham, we aim to
encourage and promote singing for the whole community, offering what we believe to be the most varied repertoire in the
area.
Potential new members are most welcome to come along to the Bailiffgate Museum to experience a few
rehearsals and get to know us. We meet every Wednesday from 7.30pm - 9.30pm at the Museum in Bailiffgate, Alnwick, close
to the entrance of Alnwick Castle.
If you require help or advice on singing with the choir please just e-mail
your query to us on quaver@bailiffgatesingers.org or telephone Veda Robinson on 01665 575815.
